Rock and Worship Roadshow

Last night, we went to an incredible concert at the Coliseum (but now it's called the Alliant Energy Center). SEVEN Christian Rock bands, and it was $10 per person! We jammed to Sidewalk Prophets, Remedy Drive, Fee, Family Force 5, Francessca Batticelli (I'm sure I spelled that wrong), David Crowder and Mercy Me. Great worship experience!

Anna thought it was a little loud, so her hood must have helped. I couldn't stop laughing at my cutie pie!!!

Will's b-day

Hard to believe Will is 12! Ted likes to see me get hysterical when he makes remarks like, "well, 2/3 of the way to adulthood."

Will buddy's toasting him. NICE guys!
The guys waiting for their food at Hu Hot. Great dinner!

Happy Birthday, my 2/3 Adult!

Wii

For our birthdays, (all five of them), we got a Wii. The kids were already experts from playing at friend's houses, so Ted and I have some catch up to do!

Will and Ted boxing
Anna and her bestie, being excited about something.
I've played once. Bowling. Couldn't quite get the technique down. Anna--"it's ok Mom, don't feel bad." I'll work on it.

Florida

We had a great time visiting Grampy and Judy in Florida. This year we were in Siesta Key.

Dad is the master swimming player. So much fun!
Every day, we got in some beach time. BEAUTIFUL beach!

The kids being crazy in the car. Those are Kaleb's legs. Anna and Will are helping him. Yeah right.
Grampy walking to the beach with the kids.

The ladies at sunset.
Ahhhh, warm sun, cold ocean, gorgeous colors!

We were there over Ted's b-day. Gourmet cupcakes for everyone!
Thanks for another great visit!!!!

Here we are....

As usual, sort of a mish-mash of things to report on....

It was Anna's and my turn for one-on-one this month. We got dressed up, did each others nails, hair and make up, and had a tea party! Please note our guests (dogger, monkers and beary-beary). I love having a girl!
Bowling with some friends from Life Group. Yes, one of the pleasures of living in a winter climate!
Ok, these next shots will be continued, but, for band, Will has to teach one of us (Ted) to play his instrument (trombone). One word: Hilarious. Apparently, Ted (and the rest of the "students") will be featured in the upcoming concert!
Learning the basics: sitting properly (not being done) and blowing.

Lesson #2. Ted advanced to playing "Hot Cross Buns". Sort of.

Today in downtown Mad-City, there was a winter fest.....
The cool, free sunglassees that were given away, along with the free starbucks hot chocolate for kids. I love free stuff!
The Mad-City MACS

Here's one for you biking fans. This is our friend, Neil (from bowling), doing the cycloFROST (get it? Frost instead of cross?) race around the capital. He WON last year. This year, the snow was so soft, he spent more time running with his bike on his shoulder, or pushing it, than riding. But he still took second. Great day!
