Fall Festivities

Ok, so I should have more time with all of my kids in school now, to do stuff like blogging, right? Yeah, still feel almost as busy as when they are all home (well, not really). So here's what we've been up to...

Bob came home for his high school reunion, and brought son #3, Tom, with.
The cousins had a great time together. Thanks, Mom, for holding baby Isabella so she could be in the shot!

Anna has followed in her brother's footsteps, and is playing soccer. Please note the pink shin guards. It made the difference of whether or not she'd play.

A night of Grammy's babysitting, a 'hood game of Monopoly!

The party we hosted for Ted's work. Great Group!

Fun visit to Elkhorn

I had the best weekend! It started Friday night at our church in Elkhorn. They had their Women's ministry kick-off, so I got to see most of my sistas!!
Love these ladies!!!!

Then, we had a shower for Ted's sister, Heather and her new baby Isabella.

She's sooo sweet, and really loves her favorite Aunt Kass

Here's Heather and cousins, Jodi and Aleca. Hmm, is the background looking familiar?

Fun at the shower. Hmmm, what about this picture? Anything ringing a bell? Remember Ted's cousin, Jodi, bought our house? We had the shower there! I've told so many of you how beautiful the house looks with Jodi's changes, so here you go! Your own private tour! This is the great room.....

And the kitchen, with the beautiful and gracious hostess, Jodi, agreeing to model for me.

Remember the purple powder room? Now I know many of you are thinking, "the whole house was purple." GRAY, PEOPLE, GRAY!! Cool tones!

The dining room, which they use as their piano room.
THANK YOU Jodi, for hosting at YOUR house, and letting me take all of the pictures. YOUR house is marlevous and beautiful. Well-constructed, too :)

Wedding in the 'hood

We've been blessed AGAIN with another great neighborhood. My friend who lives behind us, Teresa, got married last weekend, IN THE 'HOOD. Her next door neighbor has beautiful gardens, so the ceremony was there, and reception at Teresa's.

The cocktail hour prior to the ceremony. Give this group any reason to socialize!

The kid's seating.

Teresa's sons, Cade and Gavin, walked her down the aisle. Not a dry eye in the house!
CONGRATS Rich and Teresa!

Happy Birthday, Mom!

HAPPY BIRTHAY Mamacita!! It's been such a blessing to have you with us lately--the kids LOVE "Grammy" time. The memories we've made are priceless.

Thank you for everything you've done for us--recently and growing up. You always put us first and gave so much of yourself. You taught me by example what being a mom really means. I always wanted a daughter to pass on the relationship that I've always cherished with you. "Her children arise and call her blessed." Proverbs 31:28. I LOVE YOU!

First Day of School

My big school kids. That's right. In case you forgot, Annie joined the brothers this year. Oh my heart...

The growing bus stop. Six more aren't even present. Since we bombed them with water balloons at the end of the year, we served them breakfast to get them started off right this year!

The big girl was ALL SMILES, from the moment I woke her up and said, "Anna, time to get up for school." Her response, "YYYYYYYESSSSSS, Kindergarten!!!"
I, on the other hand, didn't fare so well all day long. A few tears at the bus, a few tears when leaving her classroom, and I was so proud of myself for holding it together....until the grocery store. I overheard a sweet little three year old tell her mom, "that's ok, momma, I love you!" and I just couldn't handle it. Sobs all the way through the cereal aisle, cookie isle, and condiment isle. I lost it again at check out. Let's hope for a better day for mommy tomorrow. Anna, on the other hand, is loving life!!
SERIOUSLY, time goes soooo quickly.

As summer comes to a close....

We had a busy last week of summer....among our activities, the WALWORTH COUNTY FAIR!! Just can't be missed. Not only was it wristband day where you can ride ALL of the rides, over and over again, for TEN HOURS, but it's also a great place to see almost everyone from Elkhorn.
Kaleb and Ted, on the fabulous RE-MIX. Ted says it's ONE of the fastest ride he's ever been on.

Some of the gang that we spent TEN hours with.

Labor Day weekend at Grampy's, gettin' in one more swim...
So long, summer :(
